Why Soy Wax? Eco Soy Wax is produced from the oil derived from soya beans. Soya wax is guaranteed to contain no animal products, paraffin, petroleum or beeswax. Eco soy wax is fully biodegradable and contains no pesticides or herbicides. A melt made from soy wax burns cleaner with little soot released (paraffin wax often creates a significant amount of black soot that collects on the oil/wax burner, as well as on your walls and other surfaces of the home!). Soy melts typically last longer than paraffin melts of the same size, according to Planet Green. The reason behind the longevity of soy melts is the slower burning time and cooler burning temperature of the soybean-based wax. Soy wax melts work well for holding onto the scent from fragrance oils. Because they burn more slowly, the scent is gradually released; there won’t be an immediate wave of strong scent. This creates a more pleasant atmosphere for most people.
